Quality
Several national organizations have recognized the quality of care provided to patients by Novant Health Forsyth Region practices and physicians.
Joint Commission Accreditation
At least once every three years Novant Medical Group Forsyth Region practices undergo a rigorous approval process by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). JCAHO is an independent, not-for-profit organization which sets the standards by which healthcare quality is measured in America and around the world. Our practices are among the nearly 16,000 healthcare organizations that JCAHO evaluated for the quality and safety of care.
To maintain and earn accreditation, some practices undergo an extensive on-site review by a team of JCAHO healthcare professionals. The purpose of the review is to evaluate the organization's performance in areas that affect your care. Accreditation may be awarded based on how well the organizations met JCAHO standards.
National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA), The American Diabetes Association (ADA), The American Heart Association (AHA), The American Stroke Association (ASA)
