Hospitalization

If you should need to be hospitalized at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center (FMC), our practice relies on the qualified services of the Forsyth Inpatient Care Specialists, another Novant Health practice, to oversee your care. The hospitalists are a group of highly-trained internal medicine and family practice physicians who specialize in caring for patients during their hospital stay. If you would like more information on the hospitalists of FMC, ask our receptionist.

If your child needs to be hospitalized, and is not critically ill, he or she may be admitted to the FMC Pediatric Unit. The FMC Pediatric Unit provides care for children ages 1 day - 17 years. The unit is staffed with physicians, pediatric nurses with more than 50 years of combined experience as well as a child life specialist. Other specialists are available for evaluations and treatment, as needed. Discuss with your child's physician to determine if this is a suitable alternative.
